Nasty +1 for Rotella T5. I use it in my 2012 FZ6R and no issues. Project Farm did a youtube video - I am not associated, just a sub... find it @ youtube.com /watch?v=hTyrc1zjKEA&t=1s which compared this to Mobil 1.

If he was using it in an R6 he would have noticed if the clutch was slipping due to lubricant additives found in non-JASO MA oils methinks.

If that's the Rotella T6, then yeah, tons of people use it including myself. No issues, good reviews for typical usage. Heard it's not recommended for track bikes is all.

compmoto be sure to check what additives are, or are not in the oil...motorcycle specific oil is formulated differently than other oils..

Rotella 15W40 for 2007 FZ6
Hi All, New member here. Recently purchased a 2007 FZ6 with 2500 miles. Live in NC.

I have always used Rotella 15w40 for oil changes on my 05 R6. Worked great. Was wondering if I could use the same oil for the FZ6 and have no issues. Anyone use this oil? Or what will you recommend, not too keen on synthetic.

Shell Rotella T 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil, 1 gal. - Walmart.com
