I use Sena 20S Evo headsets for bike to bike comm. Earlier 20S prior to that. Sena users since around 2012. My wife often listens to music as well. I prefer the voices in my head to music. GPS is muted for me. Wife is not chatty. Helpful to decide where to stop for lunch or point out interesting things we see while riding. Helpful when traveling to make sure we stay together during interchanges in cities.

1. Have A Conversation With Your Passenger Or Other Riders
Sometimes that ruins a nice peaceful ride when someone is too chatty.
2. Stream Music or Any Audio From Your Phone To Your Helmet
Some riders get caught up in the music and pay less attention to the road. Or speed up during fast music they are enjoying, not realizing it.
3. Get Navigation Instructions Spoken To You
If your GPS is fast enough to respond before the next turn. Even then, "Jane" is a little naggy and slow to figure out I'm not going her way and to recalculate. Muting the GPS makes it a visual interaction when I choose/need to take a look, instead of the distraction/interruption of every GPS input.
4. Make or Receive A Phone Call
Handy for some. Other people go for a ride to get away from distractions like phones. I'm riding, not in a conference call. Nothing is so important that it can't wait.
5. Receive and Send Text, Email, or Other Messages
Not just no, but H**L No. Wait until you're stopped to update your profile/text/email someone. Distracted drivers are bad enough. No one needs this level of multi-tasking while riding.
6. Listen To The Radio
Perhaps kinda ok for in city commuting. Gets pretty annoying out away from town/city with the signal fading and dropping with every turn of the bike or your head. Better off with a streaming device if you have the data. Still dependent on cellular signal, but more stable than FM. FM is perhaps one of the least useful functions of the BT device for me.
(The least useful being voice command.)
