useful tip

Just did an oil / filter change and found the filter tighter than a Scotsmans wallet. The removal tool would not stay seated long enough to shift the obstinate filter. In desperation, after two hours of struggling, I drilled the tool in four places on the face and in the one accessible place in the side at bottom dead center. Fitted the tool then drilled 1/16th pilot holes into the filter and secured with sheet metal screws. The damn thing popped and unscrewed perfectly !!!! Just thought that this may benefit someone else who might be tearing hair.
