saddlebags

Just a longshot. Does anyone have any experience with the Blaze saddlebags with the detachable side support arms? From the video at Twisted Throttle they look pretty neat. At $158 they are not cheap, but you could easily put them on for a grocery run and slip them off when through. Just looking for someone who may know something bad about them.

I didn't manage to get any information here when I was considering buying the saddlebags, so now that I have bought them, I thought that I'd help out some future buyer.
I bought the Blaze saddlebags from Twisted Throttle. They turned out to be absolutely perfect for a weekend trip or for a grocery run to Wal-Mart. They are made in Germany and are very high quality. It took me 15 minutes to do the initial fitting and takes about 10 seconds to remove everything but the inconspicuos mounting bracket. They look pretty sporty when mounted, but if like me you want to retain the great FZ 6 sport look, you remove everything but a small bracket attached to the rear peg bolts - as I said in ten seconds or less.
They are bike / model specific and seem to cover most sport and sport touring bikes. I haven't attached a photo because there are plenty at the Twisted Throttle website, including a video.

this sounds like a good idea but the price seems kind of high. I guess I'll have to do some research myself.
