I just bought an 86 fz600 and there is gas leaking out of both carb vent hoses when I try to start it, it just keeps dumping gas. Can anyone help me with this solution? I had the carbs out and they were pretty dirty...some varnish, two floats were stuck. I cleaned it all out and still does the same thing. Do I need to do it a couple of times? Any suggestions would help. Thanks!

Doesn't sound good. Doesn't sound good at all.

Float needle is stuck.
You need to take the carbs apart a little more than just the floats themselves.

You most likely have leaks in your floats which would allow those carbs to flood.
you can try new floats or just a carb rebuild, but you will need them synced after you do any work.
Just remember this with mikuni carbs, never force any parts together. it should all fit like pieces to a puzzle. if you force, you are breaking or bending.
After you get it running. run a couple of tanks with octaine booster and carb cleaner to clean any deposits you might have missed.
I have a 1986 fz 600 and a 1987 fz 600. I am the original owner of the 86.
Once you get the bike running, you won't have one of the fastest bikes, but you will have one of the lightest and most nimble.
I hope this helps you.
