Have I missed some trick the Yamaha gurus slipped in the procedure of reinstalling the battery after recharging it?
I finally got to the battery under the gas tank, managed to gently remove it from the wire-laden box it rests in, returned it to full-charge status with my Battery Tender, and put it back in the bike.
The terminals are connected correctly.
The computer turns on and the NEUTRAL light is on.
The Engine Kill switch is not activated.
The starter turns the motor and the sound is rhythmic.
The fuel tank is full, and the fuel line is open.

Have I forgotten something?

Please help this girl back on her bike!

There honestly isn't any thing I can think of. You really seem to have done a complete reinstall.

Sounds like one of the wire connectors on the bottom of the tank got pulled off. Lift the tank back up, there are two or three wires going to the white plastic piece on the tank bottom. When the tank is lifted up, it is real easy to put too much tension on the wires, thus the connector becomes loose.

Is the fuel switch turned to the on position?
